The South Caldwell High School Band is an award winning, comprehensive music program located in the southern zone of the Caldwell County School district.    With a membershp of 200+ students, the band is recognized across the state for their achievement in Concert, Marching, and Jazz ensemble performance.   The band department offers 3 Concert Ensembles, 3 Jazz Bands, Marching Band, Colorguard, Winter Guard, Winter Percussion, Honors Music Theory I, and AP Music Theory.  In addition, all students participate in volunteer chamber ensembles, and are encourage to seek individual performance / clinic opportunities like All-County, All-District, and All-State.

Students participating in the band represent a diverse and talented cross section of the school composite and work extremely hard at all academic endeavors.  The band has performed in New York City, Disney World - 4x, Nassau (Bahamas) - 2x, and the Kennedy Space Center.  Recent accolades include an invitation performance for the 2012 North Carolina Governor's Inaugural Parade held in Raleigh, North Carolina.  The South Caldwell High School Wind Ensemble also performed by special invitation in 2015  at the North Carolina Music Educators Association State Conference in Winston Salem, NC.  The Spartan Regiment (marching band) has recently performed in the 2016 McDonald's Thanksgiving Day parade in Chicago, Il. 

The SCHS Band thrives due to the top tier commitment of its members, extraordinary student leadership, sound and visionary leadership by its band staff, school & school system support, and the constant support of the South Caldwell Band Boosters.  Established in 2002, the South Caldwell Band Boosters provide a huge 'boost' in all things band, through their physical & financial support of all musical activities.
